En lekfull föreställning om något så allvarligt som människans villkor
- Har du aldrig ifrågasatt avståndet mellan ditt finger och månen? - Vem, jag? Nej.
Att vårt liv är ändligt, att det mäts i år, dagar, minuter och sekunder, är en tung börda att bära. I The Hour at the Bottom har två personer kastats in i ett universum utan regler eller någon uppenbar mening. Det enda de har är en tidsgräns - om 70 minuter kommer de inte längre att existera. För att hantera detta faktum hittar de på uppgifter för att försöka förstå vad det innebär att leva ett meningsfullt liv, att vara nöjd med den tid man har och de handlingar man utför. Hur når man till en punkt där man kan säga: "Detta var allt som blev, och det är bra"?
The Hour at the Bottom är samskriven av Sonia Antinori (Italien) och Matilda Klamas (Sverige). Det är ett konstnärligt samarbete som utforskar tidens oundvikliga gång, kampen för att göra avtryck och modet att blicka in i tomheten utan att blinka.
De två personerna spelas av Matilda Bördin (Sverige) och Andrea Callegarin (Italien), som för de filosofiska frågorna om den mänskliga tillvaron in i nuet.

Never questioned the space between your finger and the moon?
Who, me? No.
The fact that our life is finite, that it is measured in years, days, minutes and seconds is a hard burden to carry. In the universe we enter two persons are thrown into a condensed version of life, without rules or any obvious meaning. They have a timeline, in 70 minutes their time is up and they will exist no more. To cope with that fact they are inventing tasks to understand what it is to live a meaningful life, to be satisfied with the time you have and the actions you take. How do you reach a place where you can say: this is it, and it is enough?
The Hour at the Bottom is co-written by Sonia Antinori and Matilda Klamas. It is an artistic collaboration exploring the inevitable progression of time, the struggle to make an impact and the courage to stare into the void without batting an eye.
On stage, the text is brought to life by the actors Matilda Bördin (Sweden) and Andrea Callegarin (Italy), calling the philosophical questions about the human condition into the here and now.
